Alight has acquired a portfolio of 40 large-scale solar development projects totalling approximately 2 GW from Soltech Energy Solutions in southern Sweden (SE3 and SE4). Most sites include battery storage options. The acquisition brings Alight's Nordic solar and storage pipeline to over 5 GW. Transaction approved by Sweden's ISP.
Nordi has completed the sale of a 125 MW / 500 MWh ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Kristinestad, Ostrobothnia, Finland to Enlight Renewable Energy. The project is located adjacent to Fingrid's Kristinestad substation with all key permits and grid connection agreement in place. Commercial operation is expected in Q1 2028.
RP Global has acquired the fully permitted 22 MWp A6 Leiningerland solar PV project from GAIA, located along the A6 motorway in the Leiningerland area of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The three-site, 17.9-hectare project qualifies for EEG remuneration and is planned to begin construction in early 2027. RP Global also plans to add battery storage to the project.
Palisade Investment Partners has acquired, through Intera Renewables, two development-stage renewable energy projects in Australia: Monogorilby (up to 600 MW wind + 400 MWac / 1,600 MWh BESS in Queensland) from LP Renewable Projects, and Winton WRESST (400 MWac / 1,600 MWh grid-forming BESS in Victoria) from Celero Infrastructure. Both projects were acquired partway through development.
METLEN has signed an agreement with Copec Flux S.p.A. for the sale of the Tamarico II hybrid project in Chile's Atacama Region, comprising a 165 MW solar PV plant and a 725 MWh BESS (extendable to 925 MWh). The transaction is part of METLEN's Asset Rotation model and further strengthens the companies' three-year partnership in Chilean renewable energy.
Hansa Battery has sold its 99 MW ready-to-build standalone BESS project near Hilgermissen, Lower Saxony, Germany to a major undisclosed IPP via a competitive process advised by JLL Energy & Infrastructure Advisory. The 100% SPV share sale is expected to reach commercial operation in H2 2028, qualifying for Germany's 20-year grid-fee exemption.
Qair Deutschland has acquired the 19.63 MWp Solarpark Aurachtal in Erlangen-Höchstadt, Bavaria from Friedrich Brehm GmbH & Co. KG. The ready-to-build project is expected to generate approximately 22,000 MWh annually, with construction planned for Q4 2027 and grid connection in Q1 2028. A co-located BESS of up to 20 MWh is also being planned.

Qualitas Energy has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cero Generation's core European platform from Macquarie Group through Qualitas Energy Fund VI. The 5.8 GW portfolio spans the UK, Italy and Spain, comprising over 2 GW in operation, under construction or at ready-to-build stage and 3.8 GW in development. Cero Generation will continue to operate as an independent Qualitas Energy portfolio company.
Sturdee Energy has acquired the 200 MW Masaiti Wind Project in Mpongwe District, Copperbelt Province, Zambia from Upepo Energy, marking its first entry into the Zambian market. The late-stage development project will connect to ZESCO's 330 kV grid and is planned to be supplemented with solar PV and BESS to deliver 24-hour renewable energy. Sturdee will take full ownership at the start of construction.
Eolus has signed an agreement to sell a mid-stage solar PV and battery energy storage project in the United States to an undisclosed American renewable energy developer and operator. Total expected revenues are up to USD 6.5 million, with USD 2.0 million received at signing and up to USD 4.5 million payable on project milestones.
Eelpower Energy has completed its fifth asset acquisition: the 50 MW / 200 MWh Silkstead battery energy storage project near Winchester from Balanced Grid Works. Construction is scheduled for 2027 with commercial operations expected in 2028, as Eelpower advances its plan to invest £500 million into grid-scale BESS in Great Britain.
CVC DIF has completed the acquisition of the Gabriela project, a 272 MW solar PV and 1,100 MWh BESS hybrid energy project in Northern Chile from Grenergy. The transaction, first announced in September 2025, closed upon the project reaching its Commercial Operation Date. The project is backed by a 15-year, USD-denominated, inflation-indexed hybrid PPA.
BW ESS has acquired two standalone utility-scale BESS projects in the Valencia region, Spain from developer Navacant, totalling 126 MW / up to 675 MWh. The projects (99 MW and 27 MW) are expected to reach Ready-to-Build status in 2027 with commercial operations targeted for 2028. BW ESS intends to own and operate the assets long-term.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CI V) has acquired the Gawara Baya hybrid project in North Queensland, Australia from Windlab, comprising a 408 MW onshore wind farm and 104 MW of grid-forming BESS. Financial close secured with an AUD 1.7 billion facility from 10 banks. Construction is now underway with full operation expected in 2030.
Westbridge Renewable Energy has signed a definitive agreement to sell the Red Willow solar-plus-storage project (up to 225 MWac solar + 100 MW BESS) in Stettler County, Alberta, Canada for total consideration of up to CAD $26.725 million. The project holds AUC approval and an AESO interconnection position. Transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
Alpiq has acquired the Bollingstedt battery storage project from ECO STOR's project company ECO POWER ONE GmbH. Operational since June 2025 and operating under one of Germany's first Flexible Connection Agreements, the project is one of Germany's most advanced large-scale BESS facilities. ECO STOR retains technical and operational management post-transaction.
Gore Street Capital's GS EU Fund has completed the acquisition of two ready-to-build BESS projects in the Republic of Ireland from Gore Street Energy Storage Fund: Kilmannock (120 MW / 240 MWh) and Mucklagh (75 MW / 150 MWh), totalling 195 MW / 390 MWh. Both projects have secured grid connections and planning permissions, with CODs expected in Q1–Q2 2028. The acquisitions mark the first deployment of the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund's commitment into the Irish grid.
Capital Dynamics has acquired a 170 MW / 4-hour long duration energy storage (LDES) BESS project in Knockanure, County Kerry, Republic of Ireland from a group of private shareholders. With planning consent secured in October 2025 and grid connection at the Knockanure 110 kV substation, the project marks Capital Dynamics' first investment in the Republic of Ireland.
Korkia Semecon Finland Renewables has completed the sale of the 125 MW Kukonkylä ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Sievi, Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland to Enlight Renewable Energy. One of Finland's largest publicly announced BESS projects, Kukonkylä is expected to connect to the Finnish transmission grid by H1 2028.
Nofar Israel has signed an agreement to acquire a 92.5% stake in Highlight Renewable Energies for approximately 200 million NIS. The acquisition adds an estimated 850 MW of solar PV and 4.4 GWh of energy storage capacity across projects at various development stages, accelerating Nofar's position as a leading large-scale renewable energy platform in Israel.
BW ESS has acquired the 250 MW / 1,000 MWh Yanco BESS project in Riverina, New South Wales from ACEnergy. The ready-to-build project connects to the Yanco 132 kV substation with CATL as System Integrator and ACLE Services as BoP contractor. Construction commences later in 2026, with commercial operation planned for 2028, underpinned by a long-term capacity swap.
NextEnergy Capital's NextEnergy UK I fund has completed the acquisition of a 107 MW portfolio of three standalone operational BESS assets in Southeast England: Maldon (40 MW), Basildon (28 MW) and Loudwater (39 MW). All assets are immediately cash generative and backed by long-term Capacity Market contracts, bringing NEUK I's total standalone BESS capacity to 165 MW.
Encavis has acquired a 65 MW / 260 MWh standalone utility-scale battery energy storage system in Ceprano, Lazio, Italy from ReFeel New Energy, backed by Gresham House Europe. The project marks Encavis's first large-scale BESS acquisition in Italy, complementing its existing ~420 MW Italian solar PV portfolio. Commissioning is planned for 2028.
Elgin has completed the acquisition of Project San Martino, a 40.5 MWp agrivoltaic solar project co-located with a 20 MW BESS in Molise, Italy. The project will be co-developed with a local engineering firm through to Notice to Proceed and marks Elgin's fifth Italian acquisition.
Revolve Renewable Power Corp. has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a six-project, 14.2 MW / 24.3 MWh operating behind-the-meter battery energy storage portfolio across Ontario, Canada from Trillium Storage for CAD $7.63 million. Stem, Inc. will continue as operator under an existing MSA. The transaction establishes Revolve's presence in Ontario's energy storage market.
