The most recent deal is “KGAL Acquires 21 MW Windpark Teschendorf in Gifhorn, Lower Saxony from Energiequelle for Software AG Stiftung” (28 July 2026).
KGAL has acquired the 21 MW Windpark Teschendorf in Landkreis Gifhorn, Lower Saxony, Germany from developer Energiequelle, on behalf of an individual mandate from Software AG – Stiftung. The five-turbine Enercon E-138 wind farm was commissioned in autumn 2025 and benefits from a 20-year EEG 2023 feed-in tariff at over €70/MWh.
KGAL's ESPF 4 fund has sold a portfolio of three operational onshore wind farms in northern Poland — Krasin, Ciekocinko and Rywald — totalling approximately 75 MW to Octopus Energy Generation. The assets, backed by long-term PPAs and a CfD, were acquired at Ready-to-Build stage in 2020-2021 and developed through to operation by KGAL. The sale delivers returns significantly above the fund's hurdle rate.
KGAL's renewable energy fund ESPF 5 has acquired a 17.3 MW / 48.8 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Grevesmühlen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany from Fenecon. The nearly completed project is located adjacent to a substation and is expected to be commissioned in mid-2026. Fenecon will continue to develop the project to completion and will operate it thereafter.
KGAL Investment Management has acquired the 14 MW Rekum wind farm repowering project near Bremen, Germany, from Energiequelle. The project will replace existing Enercon turbines with Nordex machines and benefits from a 20-year EEG feed-in tariff.
