RP Global has acquired the fully permitted 22 MWp A6 Leiningerland solar PV project from GAIA, located along the A6 motorway in the Leiningerland area of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The three-site, 17.9-hectare project qualifies for EEG remuneration and is planned to begin construction in early 2027. RP Global also plans to add battery storage to the project.
ABO Energy has completed the sale of the Ortenberg wind farm to Blue Elephant Energy GmbH. The project comprises three Enercon E175 turbines of 7 MW each, totalling 21 MW, with commissioning scheduled for December 2026.
ABO Energy has completed the sale of the Heimbach-Vlatten wind farm to Blue Elephant Energy GmbH. The repowering project comprises two Vestas V162 turbines (6 MW each, 12 MW total), replacing three older turbines and generating approximately 6.7 times more electricity. Commissioning is scheduled for December 2026.
Hansa Battery has sold its 99 MW ready-to-build standalone BESS project near Hilgermissen, Lower Saxony, Germany to a major undisclosed IPP via a competitive process advised by JLL Energy & Infrastructure Advisory. The 100% SPV share sale is expected to reach commercial operation in H2 2028, qualifying for Germany's 20-year grid-fee exemption.
Qair Deutschland has acquired the 19.63 MWp Solarpark Aurachtal in Erlangen-Höchstadt, Bavaria from Friedrich Brehm GmbH & Co. KG. The ready-to-build project is expected to generate approximately 22,000 MWh annually, with construction planned for Q4 2027 and grid connection in Q1 2028. A co-located BESS of up to 20 MWh is also being planned.
Vattenfall has acquired the permitted 43 MW Dittelsheim-Heßloch wind project in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany from ABO Energy. Together with Vattenfall's adjacent Mettenheim project, the two wind parks will form a combined cluster of up to 70 MW sharing a common grid connection substation in the Rheinhessen region.
Perigus Energy Deutschland GmbH has acquired the project rights for the permitted Windpark Olpe-Rehringhausen (three 7 MW turbines, 21 MW total) from ABO Energy. Located in Kreis Olpe, North Rhine-Westphalia, the project received its construction and operation permit on 26 March 2026 and is approximately 3 km from Perigus Energy's Windpark Windfart development.
Alpiq has acquired the Bollingstedt battery storage project from ECO STOR's project company ECO POWER ONE GmbH. Operational since June 2025 and operating under one of Germany's first Flexible Connection Agreements, the project is one of Germany's most advanced large-scale BESS facilities. ECO STOR retains technical and operational management post-transaction.
Eurowind Energy has acquired two BImSchG-permitted onshore wind projects in Germany totalling 86.7 MW: a seven-turbine wind farm (43.5 MW) in Saxony and a six-turbine wind farm (43.2 MW) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Backed by Blackstone, Eurowind continues its German growth strategy amid challenging market conditions.
Sosteneo SGR, part of Generali Investments, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in ENOVA Generation, a new platform comprising 11 onshore wind repowering projects totalling 350 MW in Germany, sold by ENOVA Value (Omnes Capital and ENOVA Power). Approximately 40% is operational and 60% is under construction or approaching FID. All projects are backed by 20-year EEG remuneration. The deal is the inaugural investment of Sosteneo's Fund II.
Berliner Stadtwerke has acquired a 50% stake (35 MW) in the 70 MW Petershagen solar park in Zeschdorf, Brandenburg, Germany from naturstrom Group. The park has been operational since 2025, generates approximately 73 million kWh annually and is naturstrom's largest ground-mounted PV project. Both partners plan to jointly install battery storage on site.
PNE AG has sold two onshore wind repowering projects in Germany — Wulfsdorf A (24.4 MW, Schleswig-Holstein) and Kuhstedt III (20.6 MW, Lower Saxony) — to a small group of private investors. Both projects are currently under construction and are expected to be commissioned by year-end 2026/early 2027. PNE subsidiary energy consult will retain operational management.
KGAL has acquired the 21 MW Windpark Teschendorf in Landkreis Gifhorn, Lower Saxony, Germany from developer Energiequelle, on behalf of an individual mandate from Software AG – Stiftung. The five-turbine Enercon E-138 wind farm was commissioned in autumn 2025 and benefits from a 20-year EEG 2023 feed-in tariff at over €70/MWh.
Energy tech company Flower has signed a share purchase agreement with Chint Solar Europe to acquire seven ready-to-build battery energy storage projects across five German states, totalling 112 MW / 332.5 MWh. All projects hold grid connections and permits, with commissioning targeted for 2027. Chint Solar will deliver the projects under an EPC agreement and provide long-term O&M. The acquisition brings Flower's German BESS portfolio to approximately 300 MW.
green flexibility has acquired a portfolio of large-scale battery energy storage projects totalling approximately 750 MW / 3 GWh from developer Kajoni in Germany. The projects are participating in the German Reifegradverfahren for high-voltage grid connections. Kajoni will continue developing the projects to Ready-to-Build status, after which green flexibility will lead realisation and long-term operation.
Eku Energy has entered the German market with the acquisition of the Dion battery storage project in Lamspringe, Lower Saxony, from developer NION. The 400 MW / 1,600 MWh project, directly connected to the transmission grid with grid-forming and black-start capability, is one of the largest BESS developments in Germany. Commissioning is planned for end of 2029, with NION continuing development to financial close.
Stadtwerke München has agreed to acquire a 25% equity stake in Skyborn Renewables' Gennaker offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea, set to become the country's largest offshore wind farm at up to 976.5 MW. The project recently secured a long-term corporate PPA with Amazon, with construction financing expected to close in Q3 2026.
SOWITEC group GmbH has sold the 14.4 MW Windpark Creußen III repowering project in Landkreis Bayreuth, Bavaria, to Stadtwerke Stuttgart. Comprising two Vestas V172 turbines, the project holds an EEG auction award and immission control permit. SOWITEC retains responsibility for turnkey realisation until commissioning, planned for December 2027.
PARQ Energy GmbH has acquired a 56.6 MWp solar park project in Brandenburg, Germany. The Hamburg-based integrated renewable energy developer, founded in 2023, continues to expand its German solar portfolio, which now totals approximately 200 MW. Watson Farley & Williams advised PARQ energy on the transaction.
European solar and storage specialist greentech has sold a 27 MWp portfolio of three operational solar PV plants in Bavaria Großheirath I, Großheirath II and Untersiemau to STRABAG. The transaction also includes a co-located BESS development agreement for all three sites. greentech will continue as O&M provider and co-location developer.
Ardian's Clean Energy Evergreen Fund (ACEEF) has completed its first investment in Germany with the acquisition of a 132 MW greenfield onshore wind portfolio in Saxony, developed in partnership with 3Energy GmbH. The portfolio benefits from 20-year EEG feed-in tariffs and is designed as an anchor for a broader German renewables platform. The first 14 MW project is expected to begin construction later in 2026.
JUWI GmbH has sold the 25 MW Windpark Gundersweiler 2 in Donnersbergkreis, Rhineland-Palatinate to Diehl Metall Stiftung & Co. KG (Diehl-Gruppe). The four-turbine Vestas V-162 wind farm is currently under construction and is expected to be commissioned in summer 2027. It will generate approximately 70 million kWh annually, sufficient to power around 25,000 households.
Encavis has acquired the 80 MW Vietlübbe onshore wind farm in Landkreis Ludwigslust-Parchim, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany from the UKA Group. The 14-turbine wind farm has been operational since October/November 2025 and is expected to generate approximately 200 GWh annually. The acquisition is Encavis's largest wind energy project in Germany to date.
PNE AG has sold the 25.2 MW Windpark Bokel in Sprakensehl, Lower Saxony, Germany to a Union Investment managed fund. The seven-turbine wind farm has been operational since April 2025 and generates clean electricity for approximately 17,800 households annually. PNE's subsidiary energy consult retains operational management at least until end of 2029.
Allianz Global Investors has acquired a 51% stake in Green Energy Storage Initiative (GESI), a German battery energy storage platform developing approximately 2.6 GW of large-scale BESS projects across Bavaria and Lower Saxony. Projects are located at strategic transmission grid nodes and are scheduled for commissioning by 2029. This is AllianzGI's second direct equity investment in German battery storage in 2026, following its TotalEnergies partnership announced in March.
