Octopus Energy Generation has acquired three operational solar farms in Ireland totalling 43 MW — two in County Kildare and one in County Cork — through its Sky Fund (ORI SCSp). The acquisition brings Octopus's Irish renewable energy portfolio to over 300 MW across nine sites, generating enough green electricity for over 82,000 Irish homes annually.
KGAL's ESPF 4 fund has sold a portfolio of three operational onshore wind farms in northern Poland — Krasin, Ciekocinko and Rywald — totalling approximately 75 MW to Octopus Energy Generation. The assets, backed by long-term PPAs and a CfD, were acquired at Ready-to-Build stage in 2020-2021 and developed through to operation by KGAL. The sale delivers returns significantly above the fund's hurdle rate.
