Eku Energy has acquired the 300 MW / 600 MWh Didcot BESS project in Oxfordshire, England from TBC Partners. The transmission-connected asset will link to the National Grid via the upgraded Didcot 400 kV substation. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with grid connection targeted for 2028, located near the UK's first AI Growth Zone at Culham.

Financial terms not disclosed. Eku Energy's first transmission-connected project in the UK. The company has prior experience with transmission-connected BESS in Australia, including the 200 MW / 400 MWh Rangebank BESS near Melbourne.
