Most sites include battery storage options. The acquisition brings Alight's Nordic solar and storage pipeline to over 5 GW. Transaction approved by Sweden's ISP.
Fu-Gen has closed on the sale of the 100 MW Kärppiö ready-to-build BESS project in Teuva municipality, South Ostrobothnia, Finland to Nala Renewables. The transaction is the third under a framework agreement between the two parties, bringing Nala's Finnish BESS pipeline to 275 MW / 550 MWh. Construction is expected to begin later in 2026.
Nordi has completed the sale of a 125 MW / 500 MWh ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Kristinestad, Ostrobothnia, Finland to Enlight Renewable Energy. The project is located adjacent to Fingrid's Kristinestad substation with all key permits and grid connection agreement in place. Commercial operation is expected in Q1 2028.
RP Global has acquired the fully permitted 22 MWp A6 Leiningerland solar PV project from GAIA, located along the A6 motorway in the Leiningerland area of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The three-site, 17.9-hectare project qualifies for EEG remuneration and is planned to begin construction in early 2027. RP Global also plans to add battery storage to the project.
Hansa Battery has sold its 99 MW ready-to-build standalone BESS project near Hilgermissen, Lower Saxony, Germany to a major undisclosed IPP via a competitive process advised by JLL Energy & Infrastructure Advisory. The 100% SPV share sale is expected to reach commercial operation in H2 2028, qualifying for Germany's 20-year grid-fee exemption.
Qair Deutschland has acquired the 19.63 MWp Solarpark Aurachtal in Erlangen-Höchstadt, Bavaria from Friedrich Brehm GmbH & Co. KG. The ready-to-build project is expected to generate approximately 22,000 MWh annually, with construction planned for Q4 2027 and grid connection in Q1 2028. Qualitas Energy has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cero Generation's core European platform from Macquarie Group through Qualitas Energy Fund VI. The 5.8 GW portfolio spans the UK, Italy and Spain, comprising over 2 GW in operation, under construction or at ready-to-build stage and 3.8 GW in development. Cero Generation will continue to operate as an independent Qualitas Energy portfolio company.
Eelpower Energy has completed its fifth asset acquisition: the 50 MW / 200 MWh Silkstead battery energy storage project near Winchester from Balanced Grid Works. Construction is scheduled for 2027 with commercial operations expected in 2028, as Eelpower advances its plan to invest £500 million into grid-scale BESS in Great Britain.
BW ESS has acquired two standalone utility-scale BESS projects in the Valencia region, Spain from developer Navacant, totalling 126 MW / up to 675 MWh. The projects (99 MW and 27 MW) are expected to reach Ready-to-Build status in 2027 with commercial operations targeted for 2028. BW ESS intends to own and operate the assets long-term.

Gore Street Capital's GS EU Fund has completed the acquisition of two ready-to-build BESS projects in the Republic of Ireland from Gore Street Energy Storage Fund: Kilmannock (120 MW / 240 MWh) and Mucklagh (75 MW / 150 MWh), totalling 195 MW / 390 MWh. Both projects have secured grid connections and planning permissions, with CODs expected in Q1–Q2 2028. The acquisitions mark the first deployment of the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund's commitment into the Irish grid.
Capital Dynamics has acquired a 170 MW / 4-hour long duration energy storage (LDES) BESS project in Knockanure, County Kerry, Republic of Ireland from a group of private shareholders. NextEnergy Capital's NextEnergy UK I fund has completed the acquisition of a 107 MW portfolio of three standalone operational BESS assets in Southeast England: Maldon (40 MW), Basildon (28 MW) and Loudwater (39 MW). All assets are immediately cash generative and backed by long-term Capacity Market contracts, bringing NEUK I's total standalone BESS capacity to 165 MW.
Encavis has acquired a 65 MW / 260 MWh standalone utility-scale battery energy storage system in Ceprano, Lazio, Italy from ReFeel New Energy, backed by Gresham House Europe. Alcemi has entered the Romanian market through the acquisition of two battery energy storage projects: a 300 MW project in Medgidia (Constanța County) and a 275 MW project in Șura Mare (Sibiu County), both configured as 4-hour systems. The acquisition, made in partnership with local developers Andrei and Emil Pop, marks Alcemi's first investment in Romania.
Greenvolt Power has signed an agreement to sell the Kira solar PV park (57.47 MWp) in Királyegyháza, southern Hungary, to PPC Group for €64.2 million. Sonnedix has acquired a 260 MW battery energy storage portfolio in Tuscania, Italy from Sphera Energy, comprising two adjacent standalone projects of 160 MW / 4H and 100 MW / 4H. The deal brings Sonnedix's total BESS portfolio to approximately 2.8 GW and builds on its existing Italian footprint, which surpassed 1 GW of solar PV capacity in March 2026.
Delta Capacity and Strioga Family Foundation have signed an agreement to jointly acquire the Karppio BESS project in Teuva, Finland from Helios Nordic Energy. The 125 MW / 300 MWh ready-to-build project is expected to reach commercial operation in 2027, adding to Delta Capacity's growing Nordic battery storage portfolio which already includes the 70 MW / 160 MWh Ånge BESS in Sweden.
Energy tech company Flower has signed a share purchase agreement with Chint Solar Europe to acquire seven ready-to-build battery energy storage projects across five German states, totalling 112 MW / 332.5 MWh. All projects hold grid connections and permits, with commissioning targeted for 2027. Chint Solar will deliver the projects under an EPC agreement and provide long-term O&M. The acquisition brings Flower's German BESS portfolio to approximately 300 MW.
Royal Vopak has completed the acquisition of a 79% controlling stake in Green Energy Storage (GES) and taken a final investment decision on a 200 MW / 800 MWh battery energy storage project in Oosterhout, Netherlands, for a total investment of approximately €230 million. Construction is set to begin shortly, with commercial operations expected in H1 2028. Greenchoice will offtake 50% of capacity under an 8-year tolling agreement.
