Korkia Semecon Finland Renewables has completed the sale of the 125 MW Kukonkylä ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Sievi, Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland to Enlight Renewable Energy. One of Finland's largest publicly announced BESS projects, Kukonkylä is expected to connect to the Finnish transmission grid by H1 2028.

Technology details
125 MW standalone battery energy storage system (BESS), one of the largest publicly announced BESS projects in Finland. Developed to ready-to-build status in approximately six months (investment decision November 2024, RTB status May 2025). Expected to connect to Finland's transmission grid by H1 2028.
