Nordi Sells 125 MW / 500 MWh Kristinestad BESS Project in Finland to Enlight Renewable Energy

Nordi has completed the sale of a 125 MW / 500 MWh ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Kristinestad, Ostrobothnia, Finland to Enlight Renewable Energy. The project is located adjacent to Fingrid's Kristinestad substation with all key permits and grid connection agreement in place. Commercial operation is expected in Q1 2028.

Nordi was advised by EY-Parthenon Corporate Finance and HPP Attorneys. Transaction adds to Enlight's growing BESS portfolio in Finland. Nordi is a Finnish renewable energy developer established in 2021, owned by funds managed by Octopus Energy Generation. As of August 2026, Enlight's total portfolio includes 21.8 GW of generation capacity and 74.6 GWh of energy storage capacity across the US, Israel and 12 European countries.
