PARQ Energy GmbH has acquired a 56.6 MWp solar park project in Brandenburg, Germany. The Hamburg-based integrated renewable energy developer, founded in 2023, continues to expand its German solar portfolio, which now totals approximately 200 MW. Watson Farley & Williams advised PARQ energy on the transaction.
Eelpower Energy, backed by Equitix, Aware Super and the National Wealth Fund, has acquired the 50 MW / 100 MWh Stoneworthy battery energy storage project in Devon from RES. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 with commercial operations expected in 2028. This is Eelpower Energy's fourth acquisition since its formation in September 2025.
Energy Vault Holdings has closed the acquisition of an 850 MW battery energy storage development portfolio in Japan from BayWa r.e. AG, including an experienced local development team. The portfolio comprises 350 MW of advanced-stage projects (NTP expected H2 2027, COD from mid-2028) and 500 MW of early-stage projects. The deal brings Energy Vault's global owned asset base to over 1 GW.
Standard Solar has acquired two community solar projects totalling approximately 8 MW in New York from EDF Power Solutions North America: the 3.9 MW Water Chestnut project in Allegany County and the 4 MW Hanoverian project in Monroe County. Both projects hold NYSERDA awards and are expected to be completed in early 2027, expanding Standard Solar's New York portfolio to over 90 MW.
European solar and storage specialist greentech has sold a 27 MWp portfolio of three operational solar PV plants in Bavaria Großheirath I, Großheirath II and Untersiemau to STRABAG. The transaction also includes a co-located BESS development agreement for all three sites. greentech will continue as O&M provider and co-location developer.
Sonnedix has acquired a portfolio of eight operational solar PV plants totalling 13.3 MW across Spain, operating under the RECORE regulated remuneration regime. The acquisition brings Sonnedix's total operational capacity in Spain to over 1.3 GW, consolidating its position as one of the leading owners of regulated solar assets in the country.
Helios Nordic Energy AB has divested a 125 MW / 250 MWh BESS project in Finland, bringing its total volume of divested Finnish BESS projects to more than 550 MW / 1,100 MWh across six transactions completed over six months. Buyers are a mix of international IPPs and infrastructure funds, all of whom remain undisclosed.
Frontier Power USA (FPUSA), owned by Cerberus Capital Management, has signed an agreement to acquire a 480 MWh portfolio of three ERCOT-based long-duration BESS projects from Bimergen Energy Corporation. The projects will use Eos Energy's Z3 long-duration battery systems under a 2 GWh capacity reservation agreement. FPUSA will hold a 92.5% stake while Bimergen retains 7.5%.
SolarAfrica has entered into an agreement to acquire the Nyakallo solar and BESS project in Limpopo, South Africa from Norsk Renewables. Located within an Eskom transmission corridor, the project avoids long-lead transmission upgrades and is expected to evacuate power from H2 2028. Norsk Renewables will continue as development partner through financial close and construction.
Ardian's Clean Energy Evergreen Fund (ACEEF) has completed its first investment in Germany with the acquisition of a 132 MW greenfield onshore wind portfolio in Saxony, developed in partnership with 3Energy GmbH. The portfolio benefits from 20-year EEG feed-in tariffs and is designed as an anchor for a broader German renewables platform. The first 14 MW project is expected to begin construction later in 2026.
Enervest has acquired the 300 MW Northern Border Battery, a large-scale BESS project in development on the NSW–QLD border, connecting to the Dumaresq substation. The project is the first asset retained under Enervest's own-and-operate model and is expected to begin construction in early 2028, supporting grid reliability ahead of the closure of the Eraring coal power station in 2029.
Greenvolt Power and Bedrock Renewables have acquired three operational onshore wind projects in Iowa totalling 116 MW: Top of Iowa Wind (80 MW, Worth County), Crosswind (21 MW, Palo Alto/Clay Counties) and Hardin Hilltop Wind (15 MW, Greene County). All three projects are candidates for repowering as they approach the end of their initial operational life.
RES has completed the sale of the 66 MW Topaz Wind Energy Project in the Alaca and Aydıncık districts of Çorum and Yozgat provinces, Türkiye to Reges Elektrik. The project was awarded under a 2017 TEİAŞ tender and obtained its production licence in March 2026. Once operational, it is expected to prevent approximately 80,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
Fuse Energy has acquired the fully consented 20 MW Cwm Ifor solar PV project near Caerphilly, South Wales from Caerphilly County Borough Council. The plant is scheduled to begin commercial operations in December 2026 and will generate enough electricity to power approximately 6,000 homes annually. Savills Earth Capital Advisory acted as vendor's advisor.
OCI Energy and Arava Power have signed a Membership Interest Purchase Agreement (MIPA) for La Salle Solar, a 670 MWdc utility-scale solar project in La Salle County, Texas. Arava Power acquires a 50% stake, with both parties jointly financing, constructing and operating the project. Commercial operations are expected in 2028, with groundbreaking targeted before end of 2026.
J&V Energy Technology has agreed to acquire a 187 MW portfolio of 42 operational solar plants across Central and Southern Taiwan from a fund managed by Global Infrastructure Partners, a part of BlackRock. The fully contracted assets generate approximately 270 million kWh annually and have a remaining operating life exceeding 15 years. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026.
Iberdrola has agreed to acquire a 40 MW onshore wind farm in Basilicata, Italy from Belenergia and RGREEN INVEST. Commissioned in 2018 and backed by a long-term incentive scheme, the asset brings Iberdrola's total installed renewable capacity in Italy to approximately 450 MW, complementing its Etruria Complex and the 243 MW Fenix solar PV project.
Enea Nowa Energia and Greenvolt Power have finalised the sale of the 10 MW Zaklików Wind Farm in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Poland. The transaction is part of a broader four-farm, 33.2 MW wind portfolio deal valued at €83.3 million, announced in May 2025. The Zaklików farm has been fully operational since November 2025.
ENKA Energy Transition, backed by White Summit Capital's Decarbonisation Infrastructure Fund II, has acquired a 50 MW / 150 MWh ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Grenaa, Eastern Jutland, Denmark from BattMan Energy. Upon commissioning in Q1 2028, it will be the largest battery storage facility in Eastern Jutland. BattMan Energy will provide EPCm services and a multi-year asset management agreement.
Hexicon AB has agreed to acquire the remaining 50% stake in Mareld Green Energy AB from Mainstream Renewable Power, becoming sole owner of the Mareld floating offshore wind project in Western Sweden. With potential annual generation of up to 12 TWh, Mareld is one of Sweden's largest prospective offshore wind projects. A government decision on the SEZ permit is pending.
JUWI GmbH has sold the 25 MW Windpark Gundersweiler 2 in Donnersbergkreis, Rhineland-Palatinate to Diehl Metall Stiftung & Co. KG (Diehl-Gruppe). The four-turbine Vestas V-162 wind farm is currently under construction and is expected to be commissioned in summer 2027. It will generate approximately 70 million kWh annually, sufficient to power around 25,000 households.
Encavis has acquired the 80 MW Vietlübbe onshore wind farm in Landkreis Ludwigslust-Parchim, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany from the UKA Group. The 14-turbine wind farm has been operational since October/November 2025 and is expected to generate approximately 200 GWh annually. The acquisition is Encavis's largest wind energy project in Germany to date.
Altea Green Power has acquired a 16.75 MW operational photovoltaic plant in Montecchio Emilia, Reggio Emilia, Italy via the acquisition of 100% of SPV NB5 S.r.l. for approximately EUR 17 million. Operational since January 2024 and supported by a 20-year FER 1 feed-in tariff, the acquisition marks AGP's first direct asset purchase as part of its IPP strategy outlined in its 2024–2028 Business Plan.
KGAL's ESPF 4 fund has sold a portfolio of three operational onshore wind farms in northern Poland — Krasin, Ciekocinko and Rywald — totalling approximately 75 MW to Octopus Energy Generation. The assets, backed by long-term PPAs and a CfD, were acquired at Ready-to-Build stage in 2020-2021 and developed through to operation by KGAL. The sale delivers returns significantly above the fund's hurdle rate.
Repsol has agreed to sell a 49% stake in its Minerva renewables portfolio in Spain to UAE's Masdar, according to Reuters citing Cinco Dias. The portfolio comprises 13 wind farms and six solar plants with a total installed capacity of 706 MW, valued at approximately €850 million. The deal is reported to be in its final stages and expected to be formalised within weeks.
