RES Sells 66 MW Topaz Wind Energy Project in Çorum and Yozgat, Türkiye to Reges Elektrik

RES has completed the sale of the 66 MW Topaz Wind Energy Project in the Alaca and Aydıncık districts of Çorum and Yozgat provinces, Türkiye to Reges Elektrik. The project was awarded under a 2017 TEİAŞ tender and obtained its production licence in March 2026. Once operational, it is expected to prevent approximately 80,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.

Technology details

66 MW (mechanical) / 65 MW (electrical) onshore wind project. Awarded to RES under a wind capacity tender by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) in 2017. Production licence obtained as of March 2026 following successful completion of the pre-licensing process. Once operational, projected to prevent approximately 80,000 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions, generate approximately $13.2 million in revenue in the first 10 years, and contribute approximately $25 million in grid fees over the project's 25-year lifespan.
