Wallenstam Sells 112 MW Wind Farm Portfolio of 53 Turbines in Sweden to Locus Energy for SEK 830 Million

Wallenstam has signed an agreement to sell all of its wind farms in Sweden — comprising 53 turbines with a total capacity of 112 MW — to Locus Energy, owned by SEB's Nordic Energy Article 9 fund, for SEK 830 million. In connection with the sale, Wallenstam secured a renewable energy supply agreement with Locus Energy for its property portfolio.

Technology details

53 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 112 MW. Wallenstam's wind power investments began in 2007, with the portfolio built up progressively since then. Assets require repowering and further investment to develop.

Power purchase agreement (PPA)

In connection with the sale, Wallenstam signed a renewable energy supply agreement with Locus Energy for the supply of renewable electricity to Wallenstam's properties.

In connection with the sale, Wallenstam entered into a renewable energy supply agreement with Locus Energy for its properties. Locus Energy is part of the long-term partnership between SEB Asset Management and Locus Infra. Wallenstam was the first listed property company in Sweden to be self-sufficient in renewable electricity on a monthly basis (2013). Price converted from SEK 830 million to approximately EUR 72 million.
