Technology details
The project is a 36 MWp ground-mounted solar photovoltaic farm. Planning permission was granted on 12 January 2024, with grid connection to National Grid Electricity Distribution expected in early 2027.
Additional information
The project was developed by One Planet Developments in partnership with Viridi RE Development, Solar Ambition Europe and the landowner Kingwell. Once operational, the solar farm is expected to supply clean electricity to around 9,000 homes and avoid approximately 5,700 tonnes of carbon emissions per year. In line with Anesco’s nature-first approach, the project includes biodiversity net gain measures such as hedgerow enhancements and new woodland planting.
