Lirion Power Acquires 77 MW Five-Farm Onshore Wind Portfolio in Ireland from GIP / BlackRock
Lirion Power has acquired a 77 MW portfolio of five operating onshore wind farms in Ireland — Acres, Barranafaddock, Knockaneden, Ballagh and Raragh 2 — from Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock. The acquisition brings Lirion Power's total renewable platform to 200 MW and is backed by HitecVision and Reinova Partners.

Technology details
Five operating onshore wind farms: Acres, Barranafaddock, Knockaneden, Ballagh and Raragh 2. Turbines are GE and Enercon models in the 2.3–2.85 MW range. Lirion Power's strategy includes life extension, hybridisation with battery storage and solar, and repowering to maximise output from existing grid-connected sites.
