Elgin Acquires ~200 MW Blackhall Solar Farm in County Meath, Ireland from GP Joule
Elgin has completed the acquisition of the approximately 200 MW Blackhall Solar Farm in County Meath, Ireland from GP Joule. The late-stage, consented solar project has grid connection arrangements in place and is expected to participate in Ireland's upcoming RESS auction. Elgin plans to invest approximately €200 million in the project's development and construction.

GP Joule developed the project from early-stage through planning and development. Elgin is currently finalising construction and energisation of approximately 150 MW of solar projects in Ireland from a previously announced portfolio transaction. Elgin has a 10 GW+ pipeline spanning solar and battery storage across the UK, Ireland and Italy, with over 300 MW currently under construction. Backed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), which acquired a majority stake in 2024.
