Technology details

Two operational utility-scale solar PV plants: 46.5 MWp in Sardinia (Macchiareddu industrial district) and 7.4 MWp in Lazio, totalling approximately 54 MWp. Both plants were commissioned in 2025 following acquisition by EOS IM at ready-to-build stage. The majority of the Sardinian plant's capacity benefits from a 20-year FER 1 incentive tariff. Combined annual generation of approximately 90 GWh, serving over 33,000 Italian households and avoiding more than 38,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

Power purchase agreement (PPA)

The majority of the Sardinian plant's capacity benefits from a 20-year incentive tariff awarded under Italy's FER 1 scheme.

Additional information

This is the second transaction between EOS IM and Sonnedix in 2026, following the March 2026 sale of a 194 MWp Lazio solar portfolio. EOS IM led development from ready-to-build stage through permitting, procurement, construction and commissioning within approximately two years. Sonnedix has over 11.5 GW of installed capacity across ten OECD countries. With this exit, the Fund has returned close to half of its invested capital since inception.
