Exus Renewables has signed an agreement to acquire a 60% stake in nine wind farms in Portugal from Masdar, totalling 164MW after repowering. Located in Guarda and Castelo Branco, the portfolio is undergoing one of Portugal's first large-scale repowering initiatives, with completion expected by 2027. Plans also include the addition of 110MW of solar PV through hybridization, co-developed by both partners.
NextVolt has sold a 250 MW / 1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage project in the WECC region of the United States to Exus Renewables North America. The utility-scale BESS project is currently under development and will strengthen Exus’ growing North American storage portfolio.
